Hey there everyone, Rodney and I are really excited to write this blog as it has been long in the making. For a very long time now we have wanted to branch out into the fashion industry and offer our services to aspiring models and professional models alike. All of the creative techniques, lighting challenges, studio work, etc. have gotten us to step up our game and really enjoy shooting at the same time. Naturally we cant slow down a wedding day or even an engagement session to the pace of a thought-out, planned session, but in the case of working with models…well lets just say that Rodney and I Controlled every minute of our shoot and it was nothing short of amazing !
What we wanted to do besides capturing some amazing quality images, was capture some behind thescenes images and video of us in action. We wanted to do this so all of our existing and future clients, whether they be Brides, Models, both…they can get a feel for how we work, how our personalities are, and an overall sense of our work. We are more then pleased with how the behind the scenes came out. One thing you will also notice is that we are at that point in our photographic career where we are doing so much technically and creatively that we need assistants now to help us get through each shoot. A Big thank you goes out to our 2 assistants from this shoot, they were fantastic!
Well without any further delay, meet Chrissy, Chrissy is a local Model who is breaking out and making a great name for herself. She has been featured as the Salt Life Calendar girl for 2010, as well as agency represented. Chrissy was an absolute blast to work with, loads of fun, knew her way around our lenses and was down for whatever Rodney and I threw at her. Keep watching the blog as I am sure we will be working with her in the future as well as many others. We hope you enjoy the images
** Soon to hit the blog will be the behind the scenes video…you don’t want to miss that ! **

And for the Behind the scenes…

Until Next Time…Brian

Hey there everyone….Were Back ! This time with a steaming hot set of images….careful now….because these images aren’t the steam you are thinking of….these images are literally burning hot because the day we shot Kerry & Jeremy’s wedding, it was 110 degrees !!! Doing out best to ignore the heat, both the Bridal party as well as Rodney and I, had a ton of fun shooting. We first met Kerry & Jeremy a few month back if you recall from their engagement session we did in Downtown Jacksonville on the riverfront. Now we also had an additional session with Kerry a while back as well for a Bridal session but we haven’t been able to share those images until now. We snuck over to the always beautiful Epping Forest to get some of those elegant shots of Kerry in her gown. Fast forward a few months later and we find ourselves right back in the same spot….Jacksonville’s riverfront, this time with a few more characters, some fancy clothes, a beautiful bride, and a ton of late afternoon sun and heat. We hope you enjoy these sneak peaks of Kerry & Jeremy’s awesome wedding day as much as Rodney and I did taking them. Oh and almost forgot..yes the view from 27 floors up overlooking the Jacksonville skyline is awesome !! Kerry & Jeremy def picked an amazing location for their reception, The University Club in Downtown Jacksonville.

Kerry & Jeremy, we wish you all the best, we had a blast getting to know you two and we look forward to many more great times !
Until Next Time…Brian

). …Now this is only a sneak peak so it will have to do for now but I hope everyone enjoys it !

Hey there everyone, this particular blog post is now looooooong over due. Rodney and I have been so swamped with work and sessions that we had to put our personal photography accomplishments on hold so we could get caught up with all of our clients. Well the wait is over and we have been dying to share some amazing images with everyone that showcases the other side of Rodney and I, the creative and edgy side (The best part is it does not have me holding the train of a wedding dress !!!)
Let me start by setting the stage, back in March (told you its been a while) Rodney and I attend Photoshop World in Orlando. Photoshop World is basically the equivalent of the SEMA car show for Photographers. ..Only the cool kids go to Photoshop World, the rest well…..Kidding aside PSW was simply amazing and a true eye opener for us as photographers, business owners, and friends. The biggest highlight for us was the day prior to the start of PSW, we signed up for a Photo “Safari” that took place in Ybor City, just outside Tampa. What was special about the safari, besides the fact I had to learn how to say Ybor (E-Bore) was that one of our photographic Heros was teaching and hanging out…the one and only Joe McNally. Joe McNally is such a talented and seasoned photographer and we have so much respect for him we couldn’t wait to get to Ybor and hang out all day. (insert guy crush here as Rodney and I get glossy eyed thinking of Joe
)
We started off the day by boarding a charter bus and headed to Ybor. Our 1st stop was a cigar factory where some of the finest hand made cigars are made. We even learned that the 1 and only Female Grand Master Cigar Roller in the Unites States works there (Pretty cool)

After we stopped at the cigar factory we then headed over to the largest Spanish restaurant in the United States, The Columbia. This was a fantastic location because of its architecture and lighting and on top of that we had Flamenco Dancers! The room was full of photographers and these ladies didn’t miss a step while we were attacking them with our lenses. Even through all of the caos we managed to fire off a few solid shots.

Once we wrapped up the photo session at the Columbia we were then given free roam of the land,a full 4 hours of exploring Ybor and all of its coolness. Rodney even managed to help out a tourist, pretending to be a local…camera in hand and all…

As we explored further into the city we began to meet some great people who make up the many different cultures and uniquenesses of Ybor

Then out of nowhere Rodney and I hit the jackpot, we found some models willing to be used and abused by us all for the sake of getting that one shot as the sun was going down. I think this was our favorite spot of the day as far as images go

As you can see Ybor and hanging out with Joe McNally and Moose Peterson was an absolute blast. We learned a lot, made great friends along the way, and worked with some great models. We did do some shooting throughout the week at PSW but we mostly attended classes from Joe McNally and Moose Peterson, as well as a few other industry “Big Shots” so I will leave you with one indoor studio shot that we set up at one of the vendors booth’s

We hope you guys enjoyed taking a peak at the other photographic side of Rodney and I. Its def fun to mix things up and do other styles of photography that we haven’t done in a few years….who knows maybe this was a sneak peak for you guys as to whats to come in the near future…:)
Until next time…Brian

Hey there everyone, we are back with another amazing blog featuring one of our amazing couples, Linda & Kevin. These two are just about as fun as a couple can get. A few weeks back Rodney and I shot their engagement session out on Jacksonville Beach, this time we are back, subtract out the waves and seagulls, and add in a beautiful church, wild friends and family, and you end up with one amazing wedding ! (I didn’t mention the epic remake of “Thunder” by ACDC, and Warren G stopped by as well….those images speak for themselves:))

After the beautiful ceremony, Both Linda and Kevin realised that it was now time to celebrate and party it up. They first got things started with a “Gator Chomp”. Rodney was so excited to be near Gator fans that he started them down the path of Gator calls.

Before the reception we captured a few more shots of just the two of them and I think we got what we were looking for

Rodney and I had a blast photographing Linda & Kevin’s wedding, they def. are a fun couple to be around. We hope you enjoyed this peak into Linda & Kevin’s wedding, stay tuned for more updates and blog posts, coming soon
Until Next Time…Brian

Ah, Patsy and Lance. I don’t believe I mentioned this in their engagement post, but Lance and I were frequently mistaken for each other back in the day. Oh, and I’ve known Lance since like ‘95. I don’t think I mentioned that either
So yeah, this turned out to be a reunion of sorts…I saw A LOT of people I haven’t spoken to in a while. Do I still look like Lance? Perhaps not so much now, but maybe enough to be a stand-in for some pics if he needed a bathroom break. It didn’t come to that…I’m just saying it was possible.
Anyways, St. Joseph’s is a popular church for S&R weddings this year, and this time the temps were above freezing. Patsy provided us plenty of time for prep and group pics, even BEFORE the ceremony began. How cool is that? An absolute rarity in today’s smash and bash weddings…and a welcome change from our recent shoots.

The afterparty was at the Prime Osborn Convention Center, a first for S&R…and one of the largest guestlists to boot. Again, we were blessed with overcasts, so shooting the columns out front wasn’t too challenging. The light wrapped around nicely, and provided soft shadows. Had to throw in some remote flash on some of the group shots to balance the exposure, but nothing too crazy.
And speaking of crazy…enter the bridal party. But like cool crazy…not like mentally unstable crazy. That came later… (read: alcohol)

So, another fantastic reception hanging out with old friends. What more could a photographer ask for? Perhaps another ass-out shot? Yeah, no such luck.
Congrats to Pasty and Lance! And of course, look for Lance and me to star in the remake of Double Impact, Memorial Day 2011.
–Rodney

Part 3 of S&R’s crazy weekend has finally arrived. Meet Linda and Kevin, a fantastic, energetic, and insanely fun couple. Rodney and I first met up with these 2 back in 2009 and the minute Rodney found out that these 2 are Gators straight out of the swamp, I think he actually stated to drool and attempted to sit as close to Kevin as possible
We decided to embrace the new spring season and the awesome temps and headed straight for the beach ! The stage was set perfectly…beautiful day, beautiful ocean view, beautiful girl…oh and Kevin was there too. We started off our session by attempting to get these two use to cameras in their faces along with my up close antics and Rodney’s creepy stares (I think he was doing the gator chomp the whole time), but the warm up wasn’t needed because the second we started shooting…well the rest was cake…

After an hour or so of fun we decided to pack it up and head on over to Neptune beach to try and capture some awesome night life out at the beach. Turned out to be a great choice and Linda and Kevin’s outfit change certainly helped as these images def steamed up the remainder of the evening

We hope you guys enjoy these sneak peaks at Kevin and Linda’s engagement session and stay tuned as their wedding day is fast aproaching.
Until next time…Brian
