Well we finally did it…..we convinced a bride to participate in the infamous Trash the Dress session!  Well, that’s not entirely true….Kim made it clear from our very first consultation that she wanted a TTD shoot.  So no “convincing” was ever necessary. =P

Now Kim did the smart thing (and Brian and I now suggest this to any TTD potential client), she purchased a dress from a consignment shop specifcally for this shoot.  You hear that, ladies?  This is NOT her actual wedding dress.  Cheating you say?  Bah! Far from it.  We believe the essence of the theme was still captured,  and the juxtaposition of the sub-dominant elements within the contruct of….

Who cares?!  The dress was gorgeous, Kim looked great….what more do you need?   And you probably wouldn’t even have noticed if I hadn’t said anything.  So you’re welcome.

Oh, and you gotta give it to her fiancé Ben.  The shoot took nearly the whole day, and he was right there the whole time.  No complaining, no score updates, no “Dude this is weak, I’m leaving..”  Nothing.  Just a great guy with tons of patience.  It may seem like a small thing, but it made our jobs MUCH easier.

Enjoy!

This weekend S&R had an awesome time shooting Jason and Taylor’s wedding on Saturday. We had a follow up with Taylor on Sunday with a rather special request for a bridal session. Taylor has just recently graduated and is now officially a Doctor. Taylor is a veterinarian and how more appropriate to celebrate her new start on life as a married woman and as a Dr. than with her beautiful horse on the beaches here in Florida. We hope you enjoy this sneak peak.

Hello everyone..I just wanted to share with you our new amazing studio sample albums. We printed one up in the traditional leather bound 10×10 (the ones we do for our brides) as well as a new product, a smaller version with a hard bound casing. Check out a few of the shots…these samples came out wonderful…we are very excited and prod to show these off to all of our clients. Rodney and I even made a last minute decision to add in some images form some very recent sessions…and we are very happy we did!

Until next time…Brian

Well this post is for all you photographers out there…I wanted to let you know of a pretty cool company that just revamped their website to offer real time design of water bottles. There are several company’s on the web currently that offer water bottle customization but NONE of them offer it in Real Time!

Here is the site: www.myspringwaters.com

MySpringwaters.com allows you to upload your images, choose from pre defined clipart, change label colors, add text, etc. and you can do it the way you want.

The biggest potential here is now you have a new option you can add for your wedding packages. Use your engagement session images to create a layout that conforms to 2025 x 750 pixels (per the sites instructions) and you can directly upload a water bottle label that the bride & groom can have on hand at their reception…think of how excited your couples will be when they see everyone at the reception having a great time all while enjoying a personalized memento

Now let’s not forget Brand recognition, the next time you offer your clients a drink during your consultations, why not offer them a bottle of water branded with your studio’s logo….even if you don’t sign them, its a cheap advertisement  for you when they leave, they leave with your brad in their hand.

Here are some screen shots of my Studio water bottle label I created using the “Design your label now” option and some additional screen shots of the Photoshop image I created and uploaded using the “Upload your own image” option.

I hope you find this post useful and find a way to incorporate this as a new package option for your clients and your studio.

Hey everybody! Brian here – Well January has been a busy month for us here at S&R. Our latest shoot had us on location at a historical catholic church here in Jacksonville Fl., Immaculate Conception. Our Beautiful Bride, Quinn, was an absolute delight to work with. Having been married for a few months now, Quinn was kind enough to put her dress back on and allow  us to snap some shots to add to our portfolio… A big Thank You! to Quinn and Immaculate Conception, it was a great day and we got some great shots!!

Here are a few images from our shoot
