It’s “Michael” month here at S&R, and we once again had the pleasure of spending some time with another fantastic couple, Shelly and Michael. In keeping with the “people-who-know-my-wife” theme, Shelly is in fact Kara’s cousin, and I was stoked to finally arrange her engagement shoot (we talked about it way back in March).
This time, we decided to go for our first sunrise shoot at the Jacksonville Pier. We wanted to make sure we didn’t miss the break, so we got there at 6:15am. Why? Because Brian’s biological clock said sunrise was at 6:30am. The Farmer’s Almanac said 7:24am.
The Farmer won. =P
Though it did turn out not to be an issue, because a long band of clouds blanketed the horizon. So no sunrise. Nonetheless, the morning light was great, and we were able get some gorgeous colors when the sun finally decided to peek out. But special recognition does have to go to the happy couple, as both Shelly and Michael endured record lows to accommodate the location/time.

So, keep checking back as S&R continues to propagate down my wife’s Facebook friends list. And, of course, her maternity pics. Hopefully, I can get them up before the baby’s first day of school. =P
