About S&R
January 25, 2009Thank you for visiting S&R Photography, LLC. ..here is a little bit about us here at S&R
Well for starters the S&R stands for Smith and Rosario, Brian Smith and Rodney Rosario
What do we bring to the table…well for starters we are the coolest and sexist photographers you will ever meet, we can bend metal with our minds and we can lead a horse to water and make him drink
. What separates us from the rest is that we are a young and energetic duo…we aren’t your parents wedding photographer…we like to bring our clients personalities out in our images and express their true nature, at S&R we only concentrate on having fun with our clients. We like to bring a little bit of a photo journalistic style, some traditional styling, and even a little bit of goofy into the mix…put that all together and you get S&R at its best, delivering to you a one of a kind memory to cherish for a lifetime….and possibly make jokes at your crazy family member every Christmas when you pull out the album
Our Backgrounds:
Brian -My background in photography started in 1994 where I attended Douglas Anderson School of the Arts, my focus was in the fine arts, specifically Drawling, Painting, and Photography. Soon after taking my first roll of film and going thru the processes of developing film by hand and experiencing the darkroom, I fell in love with photography. Fast forward more than 14 years later and I have arrived at S&R Photography, forming one of the best Photographic companies in Jacksonville. I am married to a wonderful woman who supports me 100% in my photographic journeys as well as everything else we do in life together…can’t ask for much more then that:)

Rodney -
What can I say? I’m the “R” in “S&R” and make up 100% of its Asian employees. My interest in photography started way back in the 80s watching my Dad with his Nikon SLRs. While I do wish I could echo Brian’s impressive background, I didn’t really start contributing time to the craft until 2007. Yet through observation, numerous books and classes, my knowledge and enthusiasm for the art continues to grow.
Design Engineer by day, I’m also a self-taught pianist who is fully committed to continuing his music education in the future. Hopefully, sooner than later. But luckily I’m married to an incredible woman who trusts and supports me in whatever I do. Seriously, if I wanted to build a time machine, she’d go out and find me some plutonium. This venture would not be possible without her.
Finally, I want to express how truly fortunate I am to have met Brian and his sharing my passion for photography. And his business savvy never ceases to amaze me. I can’t thank him enough. However, I’m fairly certain he thinks I’m Mexican. Which is fine, but his racial jokes don’t really apply. I humor him by laughing, though. =P
