Hey there everyone, we are back with another amazing blog featuring one of our amazing couples, Linda & Kevin. These two are just about as fun as a couple can get. A few weeks back Rodney and I shot their engagement session out on Jacksonville Beach, this time we are back, subtract out the waves and seagulls, and add in a beautiful church, wild friends and family, and you end up with one amazing wedding ! (I didn’t mention the epic remake of “Thunder” by ACDC, and Warren G stopped by as well….those images speak for themselves:))

After the beautiful ceremony, Both Linda and Kevin realised that it was now time to celebrate and party it up. They first got things started with a “Gator Chomp”. Rodney was so excited to be near Gator fans that he started them down the path of Gator calls.

Before the reception we captured a few more shots of just the two of them and I think we got what we were looking for :)

Part 2 of S&R’s crazy weekend found us at the Ritz-Carlton of Ameila Island.  A fantastic wedding venue; perfectly suited for Juan and Kristen.  Now S&R has been grateful to photograph this couple from proposal to vows, and we’ve enjoyed every minute of it.  And if you’re ever fortunate enough to meet them, you’ll immediately understand why.

Now both the ceremony and reception were on the green, under the midday sun.  But luckily for us, there was plenty of thin cloud cover to soften the light…which made our jobs much easier.  The heat still came through, though, so our suit jackets didn’t make it to the wedding.

Speaking of light, we all know that window light is perhaps among the best you can use to light your bride (or ANYTHING for that matter).  And the Ritz had PLENTY of it.  Add in the aforementioned clouds and we have ourselves the perfect softbox.  Now add in a gorgeous bride and you have the easiest portait gig ever.  Next to impossible to get a bad shot.  Seriously.  And as an added bonus, they didn’t even need much convincing to take some pics on the beach afterwards!

It doesn’t get much easier than this, folks.  And we have nobody but Juan and Kristen to thank for that. :-)

Hey everyone…as promised back in Jan here is the Wedding of Andrea & Paul, Rodney and I were really excited to finally cover this awesome wedding that was held at Palm Valley Gardens in Ponte Vedra Beach, ceremony held at the old church of St. Joe’s. Despite the rain, cold, and missing flowers (Yikes!) Rodney and I were able to get some fantastic shots of these two. I knew were were gonna have fun the second we walked into the reception area and Frank Sinatra was playing :) ….I should also prob mention that Andrea and Paul had 22 total in their wedding party which made for an exciting evening! Take a peak at a few of our favorites and be sure to visit Palm Vally Gardens if you haven’t, its an awesome venue to have your reception at

Its a YES ! Congratulations to Juan and Kristen ! Juan may just get the award for most romantic guy around but Rodney and I plan on leaving some of the details out when we tell our wives (Don’t want to look bad :) ). The proposal dinner was at the very cool Salt restaurant inside the Ritz Carlton in Amelia Island. A big thank you goes out to Anastasia for all of her prep work behind the scenes to get Rodney and I up to speed on Juan’s elaborate plan and for showing us the cool inner working of the Ritz! We also want to thank Juan for asking S&R to be apart of this very special moment as well as Kristen for going along with the intrusion of the photographers taking pictures of the food prep for the hotel…never did Rodney and I imagine we would be taking pictures of snap peas !… but as we always say…whatever it takes to get the shot :)

Until next time…Brian

Hey everybody..well S&R had another eventful weekend. On Sunday we helped out our good friend Darice Michelle again as we captured Danielle and Brandon take their vows at the beautiful TPC Sawgrass in Ponte Vedra. Danielle and Brandon are an awesome couple who are going to be very happy together, especially with the outstanding family and friends behind them that we got to meet. Here are a few of our favs from the weekend. We have also upgraded our slide show feature, so as always be sure to check it out and make sure you choose Full Screen !

So, after our incredible Maternity shoot with Jenny and Troy, Brian and I had to skip over to Riverside for S&R’s third engagement shoot with Michelle and Derek.  Let me just say that so far, we have been very fortunate to work with extremely cool clients, and Michelle and Derek were no exception.  Not to mention they’re a great-looking couple.  Can’t ask for much more, right?

Memorial Park  was our first stop, but Brian and I weren’t really feelin the lighting.  So we didn’t spend much time there….although we were able to salvage some shots through pp.

So we drove up the street to Avondale.  Thankfully, all of the shopkeeps were gracious enough to allow S&R snap some photos in front of their stores (including an uber-cool chess set).  Then Brian found a little niche between some of the buildings, with some great ambient lighting and a staircase.  It appeared to be a restaurant of some sort, but it wasn’t open.  So we snapped off about 75-100 shots then booked it.  We’re such rebels. =P

After that it was a matter of waiting for the sun to go down a bit before using a couple of nice colorful brick walls for backdrops, then we called it a day.   I don’t believe we would have made it if not for Michelle and Derek.  They made our jobs so easy.  So if you see them on the street somewhere, give them high-fives for me.

Then run, because they have no idea who you are.  Weirdo.

Hey everyone, Brian here…This past weekend S&R had the pleasure of working with Beth and Terry. These 2 make such an attractive couple and were an absolute delight to work with. One of the many reasons that S&R is in business is that we get to meet so many great couples and we get to help set in stone the memories that bind people together. Beth and Terry def had spark to them, no matter  how many different poses, etc we placed them in they kept playing along and getting a few laughs on our expense as well.

We started our session at the beautiful Old House in St. Augustine Florida. This is the very site where these 2 will exchange their vows, and from what I can tell it will be the perfect setting for their cermony.

After we took a few images at the gardens we headed over to the Museum where we snapped off a few before we were chased off by the city (now where did I place that permit :) )

template_13_922x461

A quick hop accross the street and we made it to the reception site, Casa Monica. What a beautiful location and perfect setting for a party! We also took a stroll down some historic streets in St Augustine where we were able to capture Beth and Terry having a little fun.

All-n-All we had a blast getting to know Beth and Terry, we wish them the very best in their new life together!
